At the SCHNEEBERGER Summer Festival, the hornuss balls fly 150 meters, and the dogs run at speeds of up to 70 km/h

The event kicks off with Switzerland’s national sport: Hornussen, also known as the traditional “golf” of the rural population. After a brief introduction by the Hornussen club of Lotzwil, everyone can try their hand at this sport and see just how much technique, strength, and precision it requires. Of course, no event would be complete without a competition. Participants will compete with great enthusiasm to see who can hit the ball the farthest, and at the end, the top three participants will be awarded prizes.

The second item on the program is a greyhound race organized by the WSVB (Bern Greyhound Sports Club). The presentation on the world of greyhound racing—covering the numerous breeds, their origins, their impressive speed, and the various race formats—is both informative and engaging. Afterward, the dogs take to the track. With high speed and boundless energy, they demonstrate what they’re known for. A contest for spectators also offers sweet prizes.

After the sports activities, the SCHNEEBERGER staff wraps up the evening with a barbecue together. They appreciate this valuable time for conversation and personal interaction outside of their normal work routine.
