BiMu 2026 – the perfect place to showcase SCHNEEBERGER’s new Norma Alpha

At the leading Italian machine tool trade show taking place in Milan, SCHNEEBERGER exhibits its new Norma Alpha, featuring linear motors, 6-axis robot and automatic wheel loader.

The Norma has always been one of the most popular machines among SCHNEEBERGER customers. Its compact size, combined with generous stroke and high performance, has made the Norma famous worldwide. The next evolution Alpha series, Norma has been redesigned and comes standard with brand new LiS-D linear motors and αi-D servomotors by FANUC. This upgrade improves dynamics and precision significantly, eliminates wear and reduces energy consumption by more than 10%.

Automation for the Norma has never been as flexible and comprehensive as it is now; the Fanuc LR Mate 200iD 6-axis robot allows for loading of parts weighing up to 2 kg and has an autonomy of 2 or 4 pallets measuring 300 x 300 mm. The 7-position wheel loader and the CNC dresser developed by SCHNEEBERGER round out the automation package.

At the trade show, the Norma Alpha produces various shank tools as well as carbide precision components. Programming these precision parts may seem complex, but thanks to the Quinto Qg1 CAD/CAM software, all you need to do is import the 3D model in .step or .iges format, select the surface to be ground and you’re all set.

The icing on the cake is the complete VARIO system, featuring VARIOpallet, a SCHNEEBERGER patent that accommodates tools with diameters ranging from 5 to 20 mm and the SHARK 5-jaw self-centering chuck by GDS Germany.

On Thursday, October 15th, the entire SCHNEEBERGER Macchine Italia service team will be at the show. Please come, enjoy drinks and food at our booth party and get to know all of us! See you soon in Hall 22, Booth E19.
