Jonathan Meier at the Final of the World Robotic Olympiad
Polymechanic apprentice at SCHNEEBERGER wins 2nd place in the Swiss finals with his team “Mindstürmer” and competes in the World Championships in Turkey.
The WRO is a robotics competition for young people. It involves teamwork, problem solving and IT skills - along with thrills and lots of fun!
In the RoboMission category, Jonathan and his team colleague Nino designed and built a robot, programmed it and launched it in a competition against other teams. The robot had to orient itself independently, move and stack blocks sorted by color. The team had a limited amount of time, with surprise tasks topping off the sporting thrill.
With a trip to Ephesus and the bazaar in Izmir, the 3,500 participants, coaches, referees and fans spent a diverse week.
