Cylindrical grinding
External cylindrical grinding, internal cylindrical grinding, contour grinding or thread grinding.
Standardised cycles with parameter inputs or programmed cylindrical grinding operations are available.
SCHNEEBERGER 5-axis machines use standard grinding wheels or specifically trued shaped wheels.
Cylindrical grinding
External cylindrical grinding such as peel grinding, oscillation grinding, plunge grinding, angle-plunge grinding or travers grinding. All of these processes can be carried out with grinding wheels that have been dressed directly on the machine. Thanks to the automatic, high-precision measuring process of the diameter, it is possible to grind to final size in one complete cycle.
Internal grinding
High-frequency spindles up to 90,000 rpm and the 5-axis concept of the SCHNEEBERGER machines are ideal additions for internal grinding.
Thread grinding
Inclined thread grinding with calculation and dressing of the grinding wheels. The thread form is defined by means of provided parameter input or with a DXF profile in the case of special thread forms.
Non-round grinding / contour grinding
Contour grinding can be carried out on external contours, as well as internal contours. The grinding path is read into the QUINTO Qg1 software via DXF profile data or STEP format.
Profile cylindrical grinding
Complex geometries are ground using profile cylindrical grinding with standard grinding wheels or by using profiled wheels which can be dressed on the machine.
