Production of Spiral Taps

The SCHNEEBERGER Gemini NGM TAP 6-axis machining center for the production of all threading tools, design taking advantage of the latest machine tool technologies, convinces with the straight forward architecture. Programming, operation and material handling are ergonomically designed and optimized. Polymer granite base, linear motors technology, hydrostatic guides for oscillating axis, Ø 400 mm single or multi-tooth grinding wheels and robot loading make this machine a solid pillar of your production.

With the CAD/CAM software Qg1, tool geometry design and grinding processes are versatile, visualized and well thought-out. For example, the calculation and dressing of the grinding wheel shape for flute grinding is carried out automatically.

Tap Production in HSS and carbide in one clamping. Complete machining of thread profile, flute, spiral point and chamfer in one clamping.

Forming Tap Production in HSS and carbide for creating threads without cutting. Complete machining of thread profile and lubrication grooves in one clamping.

Thread Mill Production in carbide for thread production on CNC machines. Drilling, countersinking, reverse countersinking and thread cutting are combined in one tool. The thread is ground with a torus grinding wheel according to DXF profile or a profiled wheel.
