In future, even more customers will be able to call a SCHNEEBERGER grinding machine their own. A new assembly plant makes this possible
Assembly of the Norma NGC is relocated to the company's own plant in Costermano, Italy. It follows its smaller sister, the Aries NGP, which has already been produced in the northern Italian manufacturing belt for 5 years.
The transfer includes the construction of a completely new assembly line and the training of local mechanics and electronics technicians. The first 20 Normas have already been assembled at the new site. The successful flow assembly line ramp-up brings several advantages for our customers:
- Shorter delivery times thanks to greater production capacity
- Customer-specific developments are still carried out at the main plant
- Machine acceptance either in Costermano near Lake Garda or in Roggwil Switzerland
SCHNEEBERGER makes optimum use of its resources through a sensible choice of production methods and locations.
- Aries NGP and Norma NGC are compact and economical all-rounders. With their largely standardized configuration, the new flow assembly provides the greatest added value.
- The Sirius NGS, Gemini NGM and Corvus NGB production machines are characterized by a wide variety of configurations and often customer-specific automation. These three machine types are still assembled and commissioned in Roggwil.
Which 5-axis grinding application do you have in mind? SCHNEEBERGER will be happy to help you choose the right grinding machine!
